Audiobook Production for STRANGE EONS Series Underway
Announcing our audiobook partnership with Podium Entertainment.
Podium Entertainment has cast 7 narrators for the DISCOVERY audiobook—coming in early 2026
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Podium Entertainment in producing the audiobook for the first three books of the STRANGE EONS series, including DISCOVERY.
For the past few months, we have been working with Podium—a digital-first publisher committed to discovering, developing, and amplifying the works of emerging and bestselling authors—on cementing a partnership to produce audiobooks for our readers. Today, we are pleased to announce that Podium has cast the voice actors who will be bringing Manny di Martini and the gang to life!
The DISCOVERY audiobook will feature seven seasoned voice actors, one for each point-of-view character. The casting department at Podium worked with us closely to ensure each actor was the right fit for all the characters they would be reading. What’s more, Podium ensured the actors’ cultural heritage matched the cultural backgrounds of the characters.
And here they are!
Fajer Al-Kaisi reading Saro’s chapters
Fajer is an Iraqi Canadian actor and comedian. He can be seen on shows such as The Penguin, Daredevil, 30 Rock, and Nurse Jackie. Fajer has a long list of audiobook credits in fiction and non-fiction. The Podium Casting Director put his name forward as a reader who could swing heavily between Saro’s refined voice, Manny’s outrageous tantrums, and you-know-who’s epic monologues at the end of the book. Listen to Fajer read from Saad Z. Hossain’s CYBER MAGE.
Zura Johnson reading Nessa Decker’s chapters
Zura has over 30 years of experience in voice and theatre acting. She has recorded over 150 titles between herself and her pseudonym (Aria Holland) and has worked extensively with top publishers including: MacMillan, PRH Audio, Blackstone and Podium. Zura’s vocals will swing between Nessa’s steady presence to the frenetic newsroom cast to Manny’s over-the-top discovery scenes. Listen to Zura read from Tim Goldstein’s WHAT THE TRUCK.
Tim Lounibos reading Griff Tran’s letters
Tim is a mixed-race Asian American actor with over 100 television and film credits to his name, including I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robbins, Bosch, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. When we told Podium that we needed Griff to be an impossible combination of energetic and world-weary, they delivered with Tim! Listen to Tim read from Corey O’Brien’s TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE.
Paul Bellantoni reading Oliver Daas’s diaries and Tony Cavalcante’s act
Paul is an award-winning voice actor with credits in audiobooks, animation, documentaries, commercials, and more. He spent a decade singing opera in the US and Europe, making him perfect for Waldemar’s musical numbers. Paul is a vocal acrobat, so will take on Dr. Oliver Daas (including Lucía’s dialogue), Tony and his family, and Waldemar. We were worried about Podium finding someone with that kind of range, but when we heard Paul we knew he was perfect. Visit Paul’s page for all the amazing stuff he can do!
A’rese Emokpae reading Ashanti Oko’s act
A’rese (say: ar-ruh-SAY) is a Nigerian American actress, singer, and dancer with over 10 years of experience in musical theater and on-screen acting. Her stunning range of work convinced us she could read Ashanti’s wild family, and Ashanti’s showdown with Sister Mary. Hear A’rese read a West African accent on her site.
Maria Maestas McCann reading Lucía Santamaria’s chapters
Maria is a classically trained narrator with a conservatory acting degree from UCLA. She has appeared in over 45 films and TV shows, including Lucifer, Shameless and Grey’s Anatomy. She has recorded over 100 audiobook titles. The dialects Maria performs are authentic to her Mexican, Irish, and Southern heritage, making her perfect for the dialogue battles between Lucía and Sister Mary. Hear Maria read from Dick Wybrow’s KAIN UNHINGED.
Heather O’Neill reading Sister Mary’s chapters
Heather is a prolific audiobook narrator. She is originally from Northern Ireland with an ear for accents and dialects. When first heard her read, we knew she was Sister Mary within 3 seconds. We hope you agree. Listen to Heather read from Carlene O’Connor’s MURDER IN GALWAY.
The DISCOVERY audiobook will be available on AUDIBLE in early 2026. Stay tuned for the exact release date and pre-order options!
